Student Philanthropy Video Contests: The New Way to Engage Students & Raise Awareness

Posted on April 5, 2011 by

Schools across the country have been holding video contests for their students to raise awareness for campaigns on campus.

Just post the winners on YouTube, Facebook, and your website and BAM!   Your students are involved and learning the importance of giving back to their alma mater.  AND you’ve just thanked your alumni and donors for their continued support and generosity.

Here are some of the winners from student philanthropy video contests across the country:

Oregon State University held a student video contest asking students for videos thanking donors for their continued support.  Here is the winning video.

LSU had a student video contest for the Forever LSU campaign to let fellow students know how they can contribute to the future of LSU.  Here is the winning video.

How can you use a student video contest to promote your college’s mission?
